I bought a used M77 MkII RL in .257 Rob. a couple of years ago. So far the most accurate load shot through it has been Federal Premiums with the 115-grain Nosler. My own loads with Hornady 117-grain SPBTs and Speer 120-grain SPs have not been anything to brag about. The rifle is plenty accurate enough for deer hunting, but I doubt that it will ever make it as a varmint gun.

On the other hand, this is great hunting rifle. The M77 RL is light, well-balanced and points like finger. I like it a lot. I'll bet it would make a real nice .270 as well.
