Bbear Will be running some 142 LRAB's over RL 33 today just to see what it does. 26" barrel on a Model 70. What happened? What was the temp? It was over 100 degrees here.

Ok, here's my report so far. After breaking in the barrel w/ 25 rounds of some factory stuff (ringing the gong out at 350 just for grins) I got down to the RL33 loads.
Had a group at 70 grains that printed a 3-shot group of .75". 71 grains was at 1.5" with a group that printed the first shot dead on, the second shot .5" away @ 1 o'clock and the third shot printing .5" away at 1 o'clock from the second shot. No pressure signs on any of the loads but the 70 grainers clocked a measly 2875 FPS.
All loads had been in the freezer over night and kept in a cooler w/ those freezer blocks to keep their temps in the 30-45 degree range (f).
Still have to try the 72-75 grain loads and will work on some with some 7828SSC I have around. Hopefully, I can get out this afternoon. Temps yesterday and today were in the upper 80's to low 90's.
