Still hoping to make it to Quemado. With high hopes of making this years adventure I have been loading up some 22lr so Ron can shoot a couple of my 22 revolvers...

Brian, sure hope you can make it to the gathering. As for the .22LR, what powder/bullet combo are you using? Will you have any for sale?

Hey Paul, sure lookin forward to visiting with friends. About the 22 loads... They are from an obsolete reloading book so we will have to see how they work. It would be too "risky" to share that load with others Will have plenty of over the counter 22lr to share though.

-Jon We don't do the PMS anymore, just discuss it here. Mostly everything's covered... Just bring a bag of laughs and fun... Kent

This one is larger, and has more range. Costs more too. T&C, The XL 250 is one of the ones I was looking at. If its not too much trouble, bring what you've got, so I can look at them. If none of these modern/fancy lights do the trick and you want to try it, I will go diggin' and try to find it for you. Just let me know. CCCC, Let me take a look at the others before trying to find your lite. I'm really looking for a lite to mount on the rifle, without having to use duct tape.

I was sorta wondering what you used for priming compound... Blue Star Cartridge and Brass in Searcy, Arkansas used to have empty, primed .22 LR for sale, but sadly they are no longer in business. I saw them with my own eyes a few years back, and asked about them. They said that lots of target shooters loaded their own. miles

Thanks Blue!
And, if it isn't too much trouble, bring you laptop so we can look at pics.
See you soon Randy

I also remember thinking 'why would anyone want to reload .22 lr, they're only $.75 a box'. Wish I had bought a trainload, at that price.

A number of years ago (okay, 35 years ago) Uberti made a few 1866 replicas in .44 rimfire. Dad and I discussed how we'd load ammo for one. The phrase "fulminate of mercury" came up and we decided that some things are best consigned to history...

I have been trying to decide which guns to bring and settled on 5 rifles and 4 hand guns, 5 ammo cans of ammo, some targets and camping stuff and 2 Yeti's, lots of coffee, that should just about cover what I can bring from home anything else I can pick up along the way. hope some more guy's want to shoot the big bores as I am bringing 3 big bores.
