I've still got mine. I still kill backyard stray cats with my first gun, Winchester 67A from Christmas, 1957. Its taken a few deer too, on squirrel hunts years ago.

A while back i left work in west Texas one Friday evening, loaded my 8 yr old son and headed for 8 hours to East Texas. I had told Dad we would be at his place at lunch.
About 5 am we got to my uncles deer camp on 3000 acres of timber and i took a 2 hour nap.
We got up and drove a mile to Chambers creek and headed down it squirrel hunting. After getting a few i saw one move in a big pin oak near the creek and we eased near the tree it was hiding in.
I had my son positioned to see well as i backed off and started to circle the tree. He hollered that he saw it moveing and aimed. I heard the Win. 37 bark as i watched the tree and meat fell.
I was proud of my boy and hollered good shot as i saw him looking at his gun strangely. Then, i heard some laughing and looked to it and saw his grandad sitting against a tree by the creek bank and reloading his gun.
