I believe it is a 1939 Deluxe, the 1940 Standard use a very similar grill but the 1940 Deluxe had a slightly different grill. I doubt that a factory woodie would have been available in a Standard model.
Other thing I remember from back in the day - the Standard only had one tail light, the Deluxe had 2 tail lights. The 1939 model had teardrop tail lights, the 1940 model had chevron tail lights. You are correct - it is a Ford Deluxe. also, I was able to zoom in on another picture that had a flyer in a side window. It appears to be a '39 based on the flyer, but it has round single tail lights. This is why I like the 'Fire. If someone has a question, there's probably someone here who knows the answer. Thanks for the info.

My buddy sid is a rat rod fanatic from the beginning, and even he was giving approving nods to the woodies we saw yesterday, except of course, for the ones on trailers and flatbeds.. that chit will never fly with him. "run whut you brung.."

I try to find a 1947 Chrysler La Baron woodie but could not find one which is not surprising as there are only two or three left in the world and they command $1,000,000+.

northern dave,
Nevermind, the pic of the 54 Chev hadn't shown up on my screen yet. Now I see the correct car you referred to.

I agree with Dave. 54 CHEVROLET plain as can be.

The 41 Packard is probably the most rare one here. But the maroon Ford has to be one of a kind as not many 4 X 4's were produced back then.

The blue one in the second picture is a '40 Deluxe.

For some reason those are ugly to me, and turn me off.
Not sure why, but have never liked them at all.
But those are some cool old vehicles and what appears to be some good restoration work.!
