Go downstream in most major drainages in that area and you'll hit highway 20 somewhere or the Stehekin valley road. Trouble is, if you are in the wrong drainage and don't hit a valley bottom trail, or you do hit one that's no longer maintained, then the walking below 5500' is beyond horrible. Biblical plague bugs, steep, giant slide alder and devils club, etc.

A major consideration for hunting that general area is getting up to treeline and back down to the trail without burying yourself in epic alder jungle.
