http://www.sacurrent.com/Blogs/archives/2015/07/27/whataburger-rightly-named-best-burger-in-americai agree on the whataburger. Whataburger Rightly Named Best Burger In America Posted By Albert Salazar on Mon, Jul 27, 2015 at 12:23 PM COURTESY Courtesy In an age where Donald "They're All Rapists" Trump is leading in national polls, it's reassuring to know that democracy still works sometimes. How do we know? Because Whataburger was named the best burger in America in a bracket-style poll issued by Fast Company. We can talk about how the bracket picked eight chains each from the East and West Coast, South and Midwest, or question why in the hell Wendy's and McDonalds were on the bracket to begin with, but the poll's conclusion is correct. Whataburger is the best fast food burger (until you bring Freddy's into the mix.) Here's the bracket. Read more about the contest with the correct winner here.

I do indeed like Whattaburger. Had my first one back in 1969, when the burgers were actually the size of a dinner plate - buns and meat both. Those days are long gone, but their burgers are still big as well as juicy and well-prepared.
There are no Whattaburgers in Utah, so I can't compare them directly. But we do have Carl's Jr (the Western version of Hardee's) and the Carl's Famous Star burger is my favorite. I don't much care for the silly glitz burgers piled with everything from avocado to Yankee Pot Roast. But the Famous star is a real burger: simply meat, condiments, and bun. Done very nicely indeed.

They reviewing ham-fuggin-burgers or politics?
If they're attempting to feed us their damn hamburger ad to influence the political opinion of the people, then they can bend over, take a deep breath,..and have their "whadda-fuggin-burgers" stuffed up their wallered out bungholes.
That's how I see it, anyway.

I like Five Guys better too. Only been in a Whataburger once. It was good, just not as good as Five Guys to me.
For the money Steak & Shake is pretty close. I can eat there for 1/2 the price of the other 2 and cheaper than McDonalds, Wendy's or BK.
Hardee's gets an honorable mention.

If your ever in Oregon or Washington, try Burgerville. It makes Whattaburger seem like a cow pie on a bun . Burgerville is one of the few places that uses quality angus beef instead of canners.

Five Guys?
Maybe you just like the name because their burgers don't even match up to McDonalds.
I ate at one in Houston with my DIL.
Then I ate at the one in Wichita Falls with my daughter.
Whataburger beats all of 'em, hands down.

I have only recently tried Whataburger since moving to the Albuquerque areas and they are very good indeed.
Having said that, I have also had buffalo burgers at a local Ribs BBQ on the Turquoise Trail and burgers at another place up the road toward Santa Fe that are at least as good or better –– though they are not outlets of big chains.
I do have a soft spot for Steak 'n Shake and White Castle too.

If your ever in Oregon or Washington, try Burgerville. It makes Whattaburger seem like a cow pie on a bun . Burgerville is one of the few places that uses quality angus beef instead of canners. Which raises a question: I see the word "Angus" on packages of meat so much I have to wonder if it can be true every time the word is used. "Black Angus" is the most common breed of cattle in the United States, but come on -- it can't be 90%, which is what it seems like from the advertising and packaging I see. No one ever uses the word "CHAROLAIS" or "HEREFORD," and there are plenty of both around. Steve.
