The 10x50 surpasses the 10x42 in ease of view and low light.

I wouldn't trouble over it one bit!

I use the 10x50 and 8x32 sv daily.

Either one is good enough for every day glass as is the 10x42, though I don't own one I have peered through enough to know that its fully capable of being the only binocular one would need or want.
