I've had a model 30 Stevens Favorite .22 Rimfire every since they started reproducing them several years ago. I love the little gun and have killed several squirrels with it over the years. I just noticed that on what seems to be have cock, the trigger will drop the hammer. I realize it probably has a rebounding firing pin, I haven't checked to see if it will actually fire if this happens when loaded. Wondering if anyone else has one and how theirs works. Thanks, Chuck.

Never pulled the trigger when I wasn't shooting so can't tell ya. I do have a Savage Model 72 (first remake of the Favorite in the 70's) I converted to .22WMR but never tried the trigger when not shooting either.

Put a fired case in it with the indent from the previous firing pin strike in a different place, and find out.
