Started looking for some quality snake chaps. Found USA made stuff (vests, coats, pants, etc.) from these folks. Ordered some chaps from Stone Creek for myself, and Dan's for my boy and my brother.
Any thoughts/opinions on their other gear?? Maybe a coat or some pants in my future. Nice to see some traditional looking gear still made in the USA!

Hard stuff to wear out. Turns briars better than anything I have ever worn. It is made about 18 miles up the road from me.You won't regret buying it. Bill

I tried two different makes of snake chaps before giving up and spending the bucks to get my bootmaker to make me a pair from leather. The canvas/whatever types were noisy when rubbing together while walking, and the sound they made going thru greenbriars and such was unnatural. My riding chaps were o good for hunting, but these loop over my belt and have full length zippers to make them easy to put on and take off over hunting boots. They even protect against grease spatter:
