I'm a newbie over here. Nice Forum! I hope to fit in around here. My passions are Big Game hunting and fishing for salmon & steelhead. I've done quite a bit of both and hope to share my success/failures? here.. Thanx, Salmonella

I'm in northern California. Contrary to what you may have heard, we have some fishing that at times may give Alaska a run... I do quite a bit of blacktail hunting and have stepped out of my home state a few times to hunt big game animals. DMB, Funny, when I was a kid, my grandparents from Gladwin Michigan took me to the Fred Bear Museum in Grayling Michigan. It had a profound effect on my future...

Interesting how those things have an effect on the future. I was born and raised in Pennsylvania, and went to school just a few miles from the farm that Fred Bear grew up on, near Waynesboro, PA. When I retired 11 years ago, one of the compelling reasons I moved to Grayling from Detroit was because of Fred Bear... Yes, Northern California is awesome. I worked just north of the Smith River, only in Oregon. MAGNIFICENT country. Thanks, Don

welcome, I am morbidly curious why you picked your screen name after a virus?
Whatever you are willing to put up with, is exactly what you will have.
When your ship comes in. ... make sure you are willing to unload it.
PAYPAL, sucks and I will never use them again. I recommend you do the same.

Funny, Most guys get the impression that you need to make a fortune to be a very successful outdoorsman. (Yes it helps) I've been a butcher in a grocery store for nearly 30 years. My wife is also a middle class wage earner. Fortunatley for me, she understands my passions and has helped me acheive many of my dreams. I've made many sacrafices to be able to do what I have. I was instilled with a belief that nothing is impossible if you are willing to make the neccessary sacrafices and put in the hard work to make your dreams a reality.

Great animals! It looks like you can bring some experience and insight to this place. I expect you live out west, possibly a north western state? I look forward to seeing what your future post's bring.
Is it Friday yet?

Once you get some experience, you'll likely fit in! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />
Nice pics. Are those handsome young outdoorsmen yours?

There appears to be a couple pretty decent muley bucks on your wall. Care to share the story about either one or both?
