WOW. Love that rifle. How does she shoot?

To be honest, I've been somewhat disappointed in the accuracy of the rifle. I generally do not keep rifles that will not group at least 1" at 100 yds. I've never been a big 280 Rem. fan, but I got the rifle at about 50% of MSRP. I've tried 140's and 150's of several different makers using several powders. I free floated the fore-arm. I'm a rifle slut and lost interest for a while. I took the scope off and put it on a sweet Cooper Montana Varminter in 7mm-08. Thinking I'm gonna give it another try between now and rifle season. I picked up a couple Leupold VX-3's in 4.5-14 x 40 CDS's. Will get some 1" rings and play. If it works I'll post pix of perforated porkers. If not I'll blow it out.

I'd be inclined to cut that beauty a little slack in the accuracy department, kinda like a beautiful, sweet-natured woman that's not a great cook. Rifles that don't function well are another matter, like a pretty gal that won't.... well, you know.

CFE is another highly touted disappointment and Lever' blows the doors offa both. Very easy to arrange Form Loads at 3000fps+ with a 75 A-Max Smooch. In 18" Krunchentickers 2825fps is a breeze with 75BTHP Hornie's in both Middie and Rifle length gas systems.

Easy for me to say,if only because I shoot it all.

I've long been of the Fixed Faction and the 3-9x appeals less than zero to me.

Because boolits matter more than headstamps,nothing .366" would ever rate a serious thunk in these parts. If forced to suffer something as schitty as '06-ish case capacity and Two-Scoops Of Dare to increase diameter,it'd be 338-'06 and 250 Skinners at 2550fps. Mine wears a Reupold MK4 M3 6x.
