The old timers got tired of the teenage boy conversations.

for new ideas to take root, old ideas have to die-off. ideas live inside our brains, afterall.

i know my kids, and now their kids, are growing up in a radically different world than in which i grew up.

think of an old stump in the woods, and the various fungi species which inhabit it.

i hate the idea of change, but that doesn't slow it down one iota.

Curious if you count yourself among those half-dozen that actually knows WTF they are talking about?

what i suspect, but not certain of, is that the perceptions of the various old-timers different a degree or two in one direction of the other.

i knew early on, that getting drafted and forcing to fight a war precipitated by johnson in favor of the catholics was a disgrace to humanity and to the free world.

others, being more like sheep, marched straight ahead, with no questions asked. that's the difference between various humans who inhabit the Urth.

change is in the air, but i have no clue as to the final outcome.

but nevertheless, old ideas have to move aside to make room for new ideas to express themselves.

Well where some of the reasons may be the liberal faction of the board, however many of the "old timers" left before that came about in any numbers to make that a serious impact.
I have put that question to three or four who hardly ever post here anymore, people who I believe had a lot of respect on this board...they didn't mention the closet liberals.

Your day will come.

Could be the left lane attitude clearly exampled by the posts and attitude on this thread. Speeding in the left lane will get you no where. The subsequent arrows will be evidence.

My biggest problem is the flat out meanness and total lack of respect of others opinions, right, wrong or indifferent. My grandam taught me that you catch more flies with honey than vinegar and respect begets respect.

Acrimony earns disdain and ignoring of ANY of your opinions.

If you can't say anything nice, keep silent and if you can't debate without acting like a spoiled child or playground bully you will gain very little respect and few answers.

I just do not suffer fools and hate drama outside the theater.

I too no longer hunt, shoot much nor do I gunsmith anymore, taught my last CCW class a few weeks ago.

Getting old sucks, arriving is worse.

I keep up with about a dozen on FB that are not posting much here. Sad that we are losing the cream, while asswipes like SACharlie keep spewing their insanity.
Agreed. I can't even remember why I had that dufus on ignore, but his continued BS just proves it was the right thing to do.

I'm on his side and totally agree with the post. Calling filthy names really is out of line and says more about the poster than contributes to their argument.

I'm old, but I still work and still hunt and reload and work on my property in spite of the joint pain and knees and ankles that don't quite work right.
