Be tough for me to not go straight 243, 1-8", at 22". 6x47 Lapua if you're feeling fancy.

I do have a lot of .243 brass now.

What is the 47 based on?

I think you are likely correct and I can't disagree, but I think I'd still go 6.5 Creedmoor.

The Lapua's use small rifle primers. The 243 Winchester, 6mm Creedmoor and 6.5 Creedmoor use large rifle primers.

I heard retro-tech is in for 2016, slow twist 6.5 Roberts for the win.

The Lapua brass are stamped Lapua on the head. The brass are brass colored. The 6x47 Lapua uses 6mm diameter (.243 caliber) bullets. The 6.5x47 Lapua uses 6.5mm diameter (.264 caliber) bullets.

Most are chambered in bolt action rifles. Those are rifles that you have to manually chamber a cartridge by utilizing what is called the 'bolt' that slides to and fro in the receiver. Attached to the bolt is a bolt handle to help in this action. There are also other parts such as ejectors/extractors but we'll get to those later.

Happy to help FNG's.

But if its on the base, how do I know its an "X" if it is already in the brass?

Isnt the cure for a W.E.T. infection an injection of 230 grains of lead behind the ear? I heard the W.E.T. infection is fancy speak for a lead deficiency in the diet.
