That's not to say the guy is gay, lots of straight couples go there because the gay bars are the best dance clubs in downtown Sac. It's reported he was with another guy, and 3 girls. And it's not an area unknown to violence of this type. When I was a medic, I ran a good number of calls there and it wasn't even in my district.
