What?

Many of the older Benellis especially the HK Benellis shot low and left but especially low. No amount of shim changing could bring it up. My first M1 shotgun low with the A shim in it. I bought a second barrel off gunbroker which was for a M2 which fits the M1 and it shoots a 50/50 pattern, perfect. I have friends with old SBEs and they both shoot low. I haven't seen the guns with the new choke system with poi problems. It was very common with the old ones ask any gunsmith that does a lot of shot gun work, angleport, Seminole or Rhino they all told me it was common.

That's news to me. I have two H&K M1's with Mobile chokes and a Beretta O/U with the Mobile choke system. One M1 shoots a flat 50/50 pattern, the other M1 and the Berettta O/U shoot 60/40 patterns. Guess I got lucky...

It affected the HK SBEs the most but Accokeek Md. guns had problems too. It didn't affect all of them by any means and yes you did get lucky. When you buy a 800 dollar gun and you get it home and it shoots a 40/60 or 30/70 pattern with every shell you feed it, it sux. A 50/50 pattern is what I like for my waterfowl gun but a 60/40 is perfect for hunting behind dogs. A gun that shoots low is a boat anchor,,,I have no use for it, its usless.

Only two reasons to sell a shotgun,,, it shoots low or won't pattern #5s. I have had two guns that did that and both were gone within a few days. One was a M1 and the other was a Franchi o/u, both had the Mobil choke system. That being said the M1 is my all time favorite shotgun.
