Lol. So true. Let's get a campfire letter and petition going about the inept and perverse Doctor. Hell might as well send s copy to the Utah medical board as well.

I'll start the "buy back program"

Like those programs do, I'll offer $100 for any gun.

But I only want the one.

The rest of ya'll can kick down a few bucks to get the rest of his "sporting purposes" arsenal off the street.

The funds he collects can be used for therapy, sensitivity training for physicians first on the list.

NO

NOT AN AUCTION!
DO NOT BID

(oh wait, I think I'm mixing up threads and "certain people")

This is going to be based on the goobermnint programs, one price for any gun brought in, working or not. That's how they do it, right.

So, I'm first and only on the fancy Italian double. I'm 1/4 Italian too, so there! I deserve it, I asked first!

Bigfoot,
I'm sure we can find something else in that house you'd like grin

You there, Chief.

See my reply to Bigfoot.

We don't want to get this going in the Penny auction way, it'll take too long.

I don't care what you call them, Class 3, NFA, etc. Just put them in the same class as full auto weapons subject to the same restrictions.

Name a single case where that would have made a difference?????????

He'd get flippant, then arrogant, then leave his office staff in a bind when he'd decide on the spur of the moment to go fishing or hunting for a week or more. He got entangled in some love triangles, approached some women he knew better than to approach, and #2 or #3 don't remember which one, wife all but left him. He got a few DUI's in a row, and then got violent with his PA when the PA suspected he was chemically altered while on the job. This guy was manic all over the place. They finally jerked his license, and he ended up in jail for bad checks, forged checks, when he tried to buy a Mexican resturant! His family hastily moved out of town. His daughter who was one of the office nurses, later had HER nursing license revoked. Very hinky stuff. I went to a moving sale they had before they moved, and there were boxes AND boxes of men's brand new clothes, never worn, top shelf stuff.

I wonder if you may be right, Wyogal, and was wondering the same.

Folks like Paddler, Lee24, WET, and Larry Root (and several others in the past who no longer show up here) all exhibit similar characteristics:

1) an inflated sense of their own importance/worth, while at the same time regarding and addressing other 24HCF members as their inferiors;
2) grandiose descriptions of their possessions and activities;
3) fantastic descriptions of their accomplishments, inventions, etc;
4) long periodic absences from the 24HCF.

This last feature is what makes me think Paddler (and the others) may be under treatment for bipolar disorder. I've known and treated many bipolar individuals, and they tend to exhibit all of the above features, but especially the cyclic pattern of their acting-out. When Paddler's on his meds (or when the dosage is adequate to control his mania), he's under control and doesn't come around. But when he goes off his meds or when they become less effective due to a higher-than-usual cycle of mania, he shows up again in his offensive persona that we have all come to know and love (T-I-C) here.

Oh, and as for the comment about being 63 and working in a walk-in clinic... that's not exactly an insult. Some of the most successful docs I know own or run or work in urgent care clinics. In this Obamacare age, they're becoming the only primary care docs keeping their heads above water.

If he is bipolar, he's gotten his share of bitch slapping, as folks with bipolar, who de-compensate from a treated baseline, seem to lose their sense of decorum, and have no boundaries. So getting in trouble and fights can happen alot. Then, trying to hold down a job when cycling, they often self medicate to try to slow down their crazy fast thoughts, and get sleep at night. But most love the euphoria of mania, so back up up they go, and maybe self medicate again to return to the feeling of omnipotence. Family really suffers, as living with someone who is bipolar is like riding in a bus going down a mountain without brakes....because when cycling, the bipolar is a bus going down a mountain without brakes. Families often have to deal with bankrupcy, debt after debt after debt. its a horrible way to live.
I don't like this guy, but I feel bad for his family. But I also shamefully admit to rubbernecking bad accidents.

I sent it on to the New York Times and the Washington Post. Most newspapers require letters to be exclusive to their publication, so they probably won't publish it. Given the importance of the topic I hope they'll make an exception. What have you done to stop gun violence today.

Oh, if anybody wants to buy the King I, I'll let it go for the Campfire discount price of $24,999. Take up a collection, sell a couple ATVs...

Just air dropped a case or Lorcin .380s into the hood, along with several cases of ammo.
