I've got a couple pairs of the DNZ rings (Hunt Master and Game Reaper). Per their website and the back of the box, the recommended torque is 25 inch pounds. Does that seem high to anyone for aluminum rings? My only other knowledge/comparison is of the Talley Light Weights.

Just curious if everyone else is following that recommended spec or using something else?

I have two Game Reaper mounts and the first one's directions stated using no more than 25 in/lbs of torque or using the supplied torx wrench and tighten to the point the long part of the wrench begins to flex using one finger to turn the wrench while holding the wrench in the screw with the other hand (pushed down with one finger). I used the second method on three DNZ mounts with no problem.

QUITE a bit sturdier then Talley lightweights so they can stand that easily.

I put a Game Reaper set on a R700. Used a torque wrench and tightened to 25 in lbs as noted. Have had no issues whatsoever. I really like the Game Reaper. The only thing is I wish is the ring/cap was smaller, simillar to a Leupold ring. It is a little bulky, but I like the one piece setup.
