I know the op has solved the problem and know they are not well liked on the 'fire but after owning or shooting over 10 Weatherby ulw's, would highly recommend. They are accurate,light and well balanced. The new ones in standard calibers are wearing 22" barrels and the stock has been slimmed. Not a great variety of calibers but are made in 308. And like Brad never paid full retail for one. Getting tough to find for $1100 but if you look hard enough can find somewhere between 1100-1500 or same price as the ascent on sale
