As I walk around any store or public place and watch how many people's heads are down in their phones unaware of reality. Is it an addiction? Hiding from reality and missing out on real personal interface? Are we really better off with 24/7 internet access?

No. It isn't. The higher you are the more conceptual your thinking is. You do not get into the weeds of the subject, you look at what is happening and choose a course to go down.

Trump recognizes a problem and stated the best and the brightest Subject Matter Experts need to be brought in to address the problem. Nothing more.

That's leadership.

That's not what Trump said. He said "closing that internet up in some ways."

Not blocking terrorists from something or monitoring or anything else, but closing it down for everybody.

What you don't appear to know is that it's impossible for the US to shut down all sites that do that. It's impossible to shut down even a small portion of sites that do that.

If a server is in Saudi Arabia, how do you think the US can shut it down? Did you think all servers on the internet exist in the US?

How do you shut down chat servers? They can pop up thousands and thousands of new ones every day.

It's a STUPID suggestion that's impossible. It makes the thought of building a wall across every inch of the southern border look like pure genius.
