It is with a very heavy heart that I must announce here that Ron T, a member here since 2003 has passed away. I was informed by Dale K, another good friend and campfire member of Ron's passing. Dale was contacted by Ron's son with the unfortunate news.
Ron was a good friend to me over the years, and a frequent contributor here. He had a keen interest in WWII history, muzzleloaders, and all things woodscraft related.
We met for breakfast up near our camp in Pennsylvania, and as most Campfire get-togehers go, it was a great time.
If you could think of Ron today, and a say a prayer that would be nice. Knowing Ron the way I do, he wouldn't want anyone making a big fuss over him, but he will be very much missed.
As I always say, he's gone on to a far better place where the hills aren't so steep, there's an inch of fresh snow, and the deer are moving.
Sorry to see you've left the place Old Buddy. We'll hunt together again some day.
May the wind be in your face, the sun at your back, and a nice buck coming down the trail.
