After reading the history of the fire are there any of the old original members still around...

I would not claim to be an original member. But I was a participant at "Shooter's Talk" and came over here with a bunch of others during the great exodus.
A few are still around. But their contributions tend to get lost in the mayhem, or minimized by those with a tendency toward the sandy mangina.
People who choose to brew up their own storms bitch loudest about the rain.

I'm #205 so maybe that makes me a medium old-timer.  Same story as others, came over when Shooters imploded. If anyone wants to take a nostalgic walk, go read posts from the first two or three years of this site and check out the names no longer here. Too many good ones have passed and some just don't come around any longer.

I started on Accuratereloading.com and found 24HCF because I couldn't stomach the anti-American sentiment on AR any longer. I browsed for awhile and finally signed up here in '02. It gets old here from time to time but overall its the best bunch of characters I've found on the net...

Anyone remember when the new format started? I joined towards the end of 2002, but don't recall the old format so maybe it had changed by then? As well as AR, there was also Hunters Coffee Shop, Hunt Info and HuntAmerica...

Seem to remember way back in the beginning the system went down and quite a few of us had to re-register. Seem to remember a few that re-registered under different handles because they couldn't get back in under their original ones.
