I sold all of mine thinking my Noveske and LaRue barrels just didn't like them. It happens but I had a couple of mags loaded with it so I popped em and then went back to the 77 NCC's. While the Noslers never were as accurate as SMK's, the 5 shot groups showed more rounded groups than the TMK's.
They were early production though.

May be worthy of a separate thread, but I wonder how the Scenars do on game, in .224 dia? The larger sizes are well liked, despite being "target" bullets.

TWR, Have shot quite a few hand loads with 77gr TMK's and almost always get 2-3 out of 10 that are wild. This is with multiple guns and it doesn't happen with other bullets. I haven't played with them, however from a reliable source that had the same issues with 77gr TMK's, the 69gr do not suffer the affliction. I do want to say that they still averaged under MOA for 5 round groups if that is what one is after, and I do shoot loaded ammo with the TMKs that do not show the same issue.... That's interesting............could just be a lot issue or maybe early production causing a balance inconsistency. I imagine that the loaded ammo with the TMK's has a cannelure & since I only know of BH loading them, it would be will ball powder, probably something we can't get. I have some TMK's & have test laods made up but have not shot them yet & a lot of the 69's that I've done nothing with yet. At the price of the TMK's & the current prices available at some places on Nosler CC's, it's hard not to jus stay with the Noslers.......16-17 cent apiece for the Noslers, vs 21-27 cents for the TMK's. The big advantage to the TMK is terminally. The 77's not only have a great BC, they also offer excellent open air terminal ballistics and upset past 400m from 10.5in barrels. It is a true 600m bullet in 14.5 and 16in barrels.

Well I'll probably load some 69's tonight or tomorrow. Besides Varget I wonder which powder is likely to be most accurate?

With SMK's, Nosler CC's & Hornady BTHP (OTM), besides VArget, I've had pretty good accuracy with AR-Comp, 2000-MR & RL-15. I have some loaded with 8208-XR but haven't shot them yet.
The AR-Comp, 2000-MR & the 8208 all meter far better than Varget, but Varget is a very good powder.
Not a TAC fan with heavy bullets.
