Oddly enough the one gun from that era that I rarely see having been modified is the M94 Winchester. Come to think of it, you are 100% correct Gary. You hardly ever see them modified.

You hardly ever see them modified. Nope, just beat to crap and if pre-64 the owner thinks they're made of gold.

To help pay for my Malcolm 22 HP, I sold my pre 64, 94, 30-30 for $400. It had refinished stocks and sling holes. No pot of gold. But, I've seen nicer ones go for about the same, Joe.
I'm not greedy, I just want one of each.

As a teenager in the late 60's I briefly considered dipping into the lever gun scene. Working the actions of a few new tinny Winchesters and Savages left me totally unimpressed, so I passed on the whole idea. I guess if I had given a pre-64 94 or pre-mil 99 a look, my gunning life may have taken a different direction than it did.
