Bristoe, is yours a 17 or 14? Mine is a 14 and a pure pleasure.

I was wondering if yours was a 14. I couldn't tell from the size of the bullet holes (hole?) in the pic.

Mine is a 17.

Bud's got a "like new" Model 14 in the case right now. The price will make you choke.

He had a 5" nickel Model 10 that he wanted close to $500 for. I went home to think about it for a few days then went back to get it. It had been sold and that pretty Model 14 had taken its place. But he want's almost 800 for *that*.

The days of buying pretty old Smith's for a couple hundred dollars are over, I'm afraid.

Ha, I bought that smith, just to shoot the LEOSA qualification. It is 20 rounds at 7 yards.

That group is 24 rounds at 7, just piddling around to see how it would shoot.

I'm pretty sure it would be possible to squirrel hunt with that pistol.

My buddy had a 4 inch pencil barrel model 10 with no box but it looked to only have been test fired. He had 475 on it and it sold in 2 days.

You are right. The days of buying to old Smith's for reasonable are behind us.

Found this old 6" H&R .22 down at Bud's in new condition and couldn't pass it up. Most of these things get rode hard and put up wet, but somehow this one has survived like this since 1968.

A man could be thought wealthy, who had a 2 inch model 10 and a 5 incher to go with it.

Nice pair of Smith's there, Scott.

yeah, those are pretty. K frames can get to be a nasty addiction. If they keep turning up down at Bud's I'm gonna have to get a damn job again.

Truth be told, the 5" one is my favorite centerfire revolver. I'd like a Model 15 again.

I've owned two model 15's with 2 inch barrels. One nickel and one blue. They both shot absolutely lights out. One of these days I will own another and it will be home to stay.

They are highly accurate little bastids.

Your 29 is a treasure, as well.
