My youngest turned 12 yesterday and wanted his favorite meal. Chops marinated in Korean bbq.
This meat is from our own flock. Finished on barley.

Hands down.
Chops marinated in Korean bbq.
This meat is from our own flock. Finished on barley.
Barley seems to be a good finishing grain. I’ve fed it to hogs with good result.
If you take the time it takes, it takes less time.

Yes Greg, 4 hours in the smoker, normally finish in the oven, but we have been waiting 8 weeks, for warranty repairs !
Meat was good, but the crackling never really finished hard, medium hard/soft & still chewy, mostly.
10 minutes under the broiler would have been a game changer.
