GW, I dig the bird pics. I took this pic last summer of a bird, although he had seen better days. Shooting doves in Argentina is about as much fun as one can have with his pants on.... Eight of us shot 56,000 birds in 3 1/2 days. AND, never once did I feel the need to throw my Beretta on the ground or dunk it in the water. Funny like that I guess......

Shrapnel,

I know a couple of joint replacement surgeons. They say it's just glorified carpentry. They use a damned reciprocating saw to take the end of the bone off, then they make a hole, add some adhesive then pound the prosthetic pieces into place.

I was given the choice of a spinal block or general anesthesia. I chose the anesthesia- that way I didn't hear the saw, smell the bone smoking, or feel the hammer blows when they replaced my hip. Choosing that alternative was one of the few great decisions of my life!

Poobs, I don't know what happened to Rattler. But of course I also do not run with the rough and tumble hard charger crowd....

Speaking of critters...

I spotted the very rare and highly elusive Saskatchewan prairie hare this morning. Belly crawled for over an hour and finally got close enough to take a pic....

He was a boss lunker for sure.

Okay, I forgot it was 'first of the month' and the grocery store parking lot was packed so no fish sticks tonight. Hate wading through humanity(dirty sick coughers...) and waiting in a line is even worse.

And my dad already gave me chit for buying the 6-pack of faaggy Euro 'beer' so no snide remarks needed.

Good thing you can go out the back door and wack a beefer in ten minutes. Fresh, never frozen.

Been using the old '03 feed pickup for the last couple weeks and it doesn't have running boards......

I'd say we're over the hump now though. Spring might be here before we know it.

For sure Ben, I was thinking the exact same thing earlier. Days are getting longer.

It's really been a perfect winter so far. Nothing to complain about here.

It's been a great winter here as well. We've been working on a decent sized construction product for the farm since October, and really got lucky with a easy winter.

Only problem is I didn't get any "winter" time to work inside projects on my house. Can't complain though.
