Tonight was very basic, just pinto beans, cooked from dried with county ham and hot buttered cornbread. Simple and delicious.

Grilled Steak salad at the Dakota restaurant after my archery league tonight. It was huge and the steak was a large portion grilled medium rare For $12 it was a steal

I had made a pot of sauce from ground elk and elk Italian sausage last Sunday. This afternoon my wife and I made ricotta. This evening I assembled it all with grated soft Asiago and mozzarella (which we thought about making). She tossed a salad of greens from the garden, tomatoes, bellpepper, cucumber, Feta, olive oil, vinegar, salt and pepper. It was killer.

Pan seared ribeye and creamed spinach. Did a light béchamel, cream cheese sauce, lots of cracked pepper and kosher salt.
Pretty simple and only two pans and a cutting board to clean!
PS Dan, steak was on special, spinach and cream cheese were part of birthday dinner gift, dinner cost about $6.00!

I hope, but know, you both enjoyed the meal!

Going to be very unsophisticated here - hamburger soup made with beef stock that we saved from sometime or other and just found in the freezer and whatever vegetables turn up in an exploratory expedition into the depths of the 'fridge. Did the same over the weekend, but used deer burger, + sliced sweet chillis & added a can of this, plus carrots, celery & a cup of pot barley. Sautéed 2 large diced onions, browned deer burger in the left over bacon fat from breakfast & then added vege & sweated down a little, before adding "said can" & 3 quarts of good stock. Very hearty.

Yeah, it was great ML.
Just a slight (mild) kick as a change up.
Love the barley too.

Damn y'all sure do eat some fine stuff! As usual, last night was Wednesday night Red Baron night. And as a big plus[beyond adding bacon] we had a few shrooms left in fridge and really kicked it up a notch.

Red Baron pizza, add pulled pork that has not been sauced, provolone or muenster cheese, or both, and finely, finely, chopped Vidalia onions, better than, well, you know, crunchy peanut butter !!!!

I have a nice fresh yellow fin tuna fillet for tonight Nice! I've got a friend that kills it with yellow fin tuna on the grill. Quick marinade, sprinkle of sesame seeds, and fast sears both sides. Quickly becomes the center of attention at group get togethers.
