The 6mm Rem sucks ass and doubly so in a VLS,as they are throated long and the box is wayyyyyyy too short to accomodate same with any 105. Even ala binderls DBM efforts. Hint.
Do like the elder beavertail VLS handles with the 'tip,as they were/are the pick of the ergo litter as OEM plywood rides go. Rebarrel the bitch 8" SAAMI 243Win or better yet 243AI and you'll have sumptin'.
'17 is gonna be tough to whoop in SAAMI,but I'd go even slower in AI('22)...mainly because I suffer both. '17 will out run 4350 by a goodly margin and reduce ES/SD as well. Hint.
The Hornie 105 HPBT is a wickedly wonderful bastard and I shoot it in alotta things from 270 to 6-284/6-06...with alotta stops in between. Even at 6-284/6-06 velocities, they dig reliably and crush schit. They are VASTLY superior to Booger HighBirds, though in fairness, they cain't match it's BC. If only because I've shot lotsa both,in more than a few rifles(understatement),I'd not suffer HighBirds for free. Hint.
1-8" Brux 23.3" LFB at 80-ish yds,with a Warp Nine Hornie HPBT.
A touch better than the 500yd line, with another Hornie HPBT ala LFB.
Am looking to lean on my 1-8" Bart' 18" 270 this afternoon for a Booner Bear,with a 105 A-Max. I rather like the way the A-Max behaves at 270 and 1-8" Brux no-turn 20" 6BR velocities.
6BR 200yds and small change, single poke and a coupla broken shoulders DRT Anchor Job.
Kinda want a Blue Booner pic with The Baby 270 and it's all dolled up and waitin'.
Though my 1-8" Brux 22.25" Six Twat-Six is sorta chompin' at the bit to get Famous too. It do rather nice thangs with 105 Hornie HPBT's smooches at 3300fps and is outta da' paint shop, ready for Fame.
Pard is gonna schlep a BHW 20" 1-8" SAAMI 243Win Krunchenticker with 105 Hornie HPBT smooches at 2930fps this afternoon...and it's be intellesting to see who backs who up.(grin)
I best go start woodin' the crummy.
You gals keep tryin'.
Laffin'!
