Now that's funny. I'm 73 years old and it's not cold here, but a little motor building "practice" seems like a good idea to me. Be back in about an hour.

i was going to make soup. then i decided to work on my never ending bathroom remodel. then i decided to go into my safe and fondle some guns. then i stood at the window and stared at the snow and -10 outside temps for 30 min and decided to order chinese takeout and start drinking homebrew and hit the sack early. rough day

Soup is certainly a good idea but I sure enjoyed the grilled cheese I had! grin

I made the 1 1/2 hour trip to the camp to check on it and pick up the BGE to bring home. I was greeted by the local lake on my way in. If this scene doesn't make you think winter comfort food nothing will.

Sure made me think about next springs fresh fried perch and crappie though!

I've ice fished before. The ice is never thick enough to make me do that again even for fresh perch grin

That will do. My wife did very similar a couple of weeks ago substituting cubed elk for chicken. I honestly cannot remember ever not making a good pot of soup. Growing up it was served near daily to start dinner in my Italian home.
