Yep, it's pretty clear what this forum has turned into..

Used to be a nice place to hang out. All the good guys who never cast a stone at everybody are constantly being attacked. Pretty damn sad state from where it was and what it could be.

Still is. Look at the people that can't be civil and stick them on ignore. People like mohick aren't fit for company at my fire virtual or real so why bother with more noise than signal?

Still a couple months away from my own tomatoes, or basil for that matter, but with temps on the upper 70's today we're enjoying a simple meal of fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, basil mixed in a little EEVO and good Basalmic with some toasted baguette for dipping in the delicious sauce in the bowl. I premix so the cheese gets a soaking in the balsamic.

On the "other" topic, 'I'm a relative newcomer, but I've seen folks rip in like the Wicked Witch of the West making unpleasant comments.
It seems best to pay scant heed, and just wait for them to go away.
If the truth be known, pity may be what is called for.

Miss Lynn will be along to straighten things out, I can't recall hearing from Denny for a coon's age and he is a good guy.

No pics but I had a pan seared rib eye. ( much more satisfying than sleep ) Deglazed the pan with a little fresh squeezed lemon. Spring mix salad with cherry tomatoes and an olive oil, garlic, lemon dressing.




As to the a holes agenda, leave it in the freak show. We've got a pretty good crowd of like minded eaters down here.

Well I didn't take any pictures but my new favorite burgers were grilled last night.

It was an invention born of necessity maybe 8 months or so ago. I was going to make some burgers for myself and my boys, I had a lb of lean ground beef and it just didn't look like enough meat for the boys and I. So, I opened the fridge and found that I had some uncooked johnsonville brats. I grabbed 2 of the brats, sliced the casings open, peeled off the casings and mixed the brat meat in with my ground beef. It was just enough "filler" to help me make the number of patties I wanted to make.

As an added bonus they were awesome burgers.

So, it's now become normal practice here to slice open a couple uncooked brats and mix the meat with my ground beef prior to making patties for burgers.

OK Dan, now you're just makin' me think how much I miss the smell of the sea !

Not much comperes to the first run of a wahoo, or the shear, back breaking power of a yellowfin, locked in a circle under the boat.
