Time to thin the herd, so up for sale is this Sako 85 Bavarian in .270 Win. The rifle has never been hunted, nor has it been scoped. I’ve put less than 20 rounds through it. It shot Federal Blue box 130 grainers well and the iron sights were well regulated at 100 yards. The rifle is in excellent condition and features European styling with a single set trigger, an oil finished walnut stock, and rosewood on the Schnabel-type fore-end and pistol grip. The only marks I can find on it are faint rubs on the bolt knob, which I have shown here. I flipped the brass Sako nameplate (it screws on with two screws) on the grip cap as I didn’t want to advertise for Sako. You could flip it back over or have the flat side engraved with your initials if you prefer. Specs: Barrel Length: 22.4” Capacity 5+1 Twist: 1-10 Weight: 7.3 lbs (I don’t have a scale but it feels lighter than that to me.) LOP: I measure at 14 5/8” $1800 USPS money order please. I have the same gun in 30-06 and it cloverleafs Nosler 165 Partitions, not that I needed that for the two moose so far it has clobbered.
Good price too.
