My wife's uncle has about ten kids, works very infrequently, his wife helps to pay bills with bingo winnings, we all subsidize their 'grocery' bill....and probably their tobacco habits as well. And they get nice tax refunds. And it's all legal since it's written in the tax code. I think we should all applaud the wisdom shown by folks who minimize their taxes. I just wish it didn't require a tax attorney to figure out the best legal ways to cheat the rest of you suckers who have to foot the bills!  Bingo winnings. That's funny. So she can't do math. Bingo like the lottery is a voluntary tax on the stupid. She's probably paying her "bingo tax" with your money or mine. Now look who's stupid! Not a good comparison, One works for his money and the other is a loser that doesn't work. When doing comparisons try to use equal examples. Lots of people work harder than Trump and make less, yet are required to pay more tax. I suppose they are 'losers' as well? The 'common folks' on whose shoulders Trump has been propelled are the same ones who are tired of those who game the system one way or another. Justifying the hypocrisy we supposedly disdain is pretty lame IMO. We are better than the stereotypes the liberals try to paint us with. That doesn't mean we have to become them anyway. Recognizing the faults in "he who sucks far less" in no way means that we need to fall off the wagon and "Bern for Hill" either.

He is worried about Trump not paying income tax for one year. How about the tens of millions in social security and Medicare employer matching contributions that he paid over the years for his employees. I'm sure it's a lot more that Ted or Hillary ever coughed up.

The entire point of the OP was to highlight the hypocrisy of Trump demanding to raise taxes on the wealthy (a Democrat/Leftist shibboleth if ever there was one) while he himself often paid "zero" income taxes. If the super-wealthy are so all-fired willing to pay higher taxes (they already pay too much, actually) then why was this super-wealthy guy (Trump) paying zero taxes??
The point was to highlight Trump's hypocrisy in demanding higher taxes for the wealthy. That's a Democrat talking, plain and simple.

My point is if you're going to run as a Republican (as opposed to, say, a RINO) stop spouting Democrat shibboleths (such as the wealthy don't pay enough taxes). It's a theme I've been sounding since day one. Trump is more Democrat than Republican, hence his demand for an even more progressive tax code.
