Very mild flavoured too.

My daughter Quinn made Tomato Florentine Soup for supper, along with assorted sandwiches, she invited us over to share. The soup was amazing, and such a simple recipe. She done good ! grin

I baked a yelloweye fillet coated with black pepper, garlic powder, honey, some butter, and some Beebomb from Pex Peppers. I also basted it a few times while it was baking. Turned out pretty well.

I made my first batch ever of Red Beans and Rice......
Came out great...all the recipe's I found said to use Kidney Beans but I used small red beans...
I'll make it again and I can't see anything I'd change cept maybe adding some shrimp along with the sausage...

Sticking to my no carbs diet. Home grown Cherry tomatoes sautéed in butter till they popped. Salt and pepper, onion powder. Toss onto a plate.

Another pat of butter, two eggs over easy. Toss onto tomatoes and enjoy!

Damn I wanted tortillas with it!

I made a salad of cherry tomatoes, bell pepper, cucumber and red onion. I poured a load of red vinegar, olive oil, salt and pepper. Let it all sit in the fridge for an hour, threw on a can of chilled albacore and mopped with a chunk of sourdough.

Good stuff either way though....much better than the Zatarans I used to buy...
I'm definitely adding shrimp next time.....providing I can remember to buy some....

FG, Oh yeah. Adding shrimp to just about anything is the shizzle. Here's a pic of some Spicy Shrimp and Spanish Yellow Rice I made earlier this week.

May follow your lead with the red beans and rice with shrimp next week. Got a steady source for 16/20 shrimp now at $6.99/lb.

Man O Man.....I can smell that from here and it smells GREAT!!!!!
I'm not sure what it costs but the only shrimp we can get here is the frozen stuff. Being the low life infidel that I am I get by though. I'll still make my red beans with sausage but like ya say..."adding shrimp can only make it better"....

Found the end of a brisket I cooked several weeks ago in the freezer. So into the cast iron stove top Dutch oven with some onions, garlic, zucchini, cherry tomatoes, green beans, and some nice Malbec poured in for good measure!!!

I think that's everything. Simmer!!!!

ingwe, sometime I will have to get your recipe for fried rabbit.. I have eaten excellent rabbit cooked by others, but when we tried it we put the bunnies in a crock pot over night to tenderize them.. When we took the lid off, the fat stuck to the sides of the pot, and it smelled like rabbits when you dress them.. Haven't tried cooking bunnies since that day more than 20 years ago..

Kay, that looks wonderful.. But I think I would have poured most of the malbec into the cook!!!

We are grilling pork chops, baked potatoes, pork and beans, and fruit for dessert.. Some kind of wine to accompany the goodies...

Did a little fish smoking today. Rainbow trout, Sockeye, and Bluefish. Made a brine of soy sauce, water, brown sugar, salt, powered ginger and garlic powder. I brined it for 10 hours, rinsed and then let it dry for 6 to form the pellicle. Smoked it at 200 degrees over apple for four hours.

When it went on.

As presented for dinner. L to R - salmon, bluefish, trout with a little cheddar and gouda and crackers to have it on.

Been experimenting with ribeyes in the cast iron skillet last couple nights. Boiled taters and corn on the cob on the side both times. I wasn't bored. grin

Flat iron steak roast, cauliflower with cheese sautéed in the cast iron skillet the roast was cooked in.

No carbs, but plenty of fat.

Contest at work extended till the first of August. In second place, got to keep it up.
