That sucks to have to be on the receiving end of that many sticks. I think sometimes medications are infused too fast for a particular patient. The pumps are often pre-programmed for set rates of infusion based upon the medications and the amounts being used. Some folks, and/or their veins, simply can't tolerate those particular pre-determined rates of infusion.

I ended up with a bunch of shots in the azz, rocephrin and some sulphur something or other were two I recall, a little while back. They made me sit there for a while afterwards while some nurse stared at me.

No pain. Stopped the streaks going up my leg.

The half dozen heparin shots in the belly kind of balanced out the IV sticks. grin

I hope you get better. Maybe stay away from Ben for a while.

FLUFFY " ... got another, stronger med. Levofloxacin ..."

Yep, had the same reaction but not as seriously. After two days, called the doc. He said to stop the Levofloxacin immediately. Mine was prescribed for three days after a prostate biopsy.

Now if a doc asks my if I'm allergic to any meds, I answer, "Yep, Penicillin and Levofloxacin."

Ain't taking anymore of that stuff. wink

That stuff hammered the crap out of me too. Many different side effects and an allergic rxn. Not fun, not good.

IMO You are better off not going to the Dr unless its absolutley needed.
