.308 win Damn that's nice! I'm usually not much for light colored rifles, but that's cool.

Alaska Lanche that is a beauty! Those black rings and scope caps though......haha. Personal preference. I have posted this picture a few times but it's still one of my favorite rifles. 243 with a 24" take off from an SPS. This thing is way more accurate than I am, but I am working on that. Everything but the action and rings/bases were purchased from members here on the 'fire.

No problem. Way easier seeing pictures than having someone like myself try to explain it all. I am 5'9" and I find the ergonomics of the model 7 to be perfect for me.

Tossing the idea around of buying a M 7 in 6mm Rem and re-barreling it to .22/6mm. The .22/6mm I own right now weighs darn close to 11 lbs with bi-pod on it. Want a rifle that's 3-4 lbs lighter.
That .243 of yours is kinda what I'm thinking of.

You should have no problem getting it to where you want it weight wise. I could shave some weight with a stock from McMillan, but it shoots so well that now I am hesitant to change anything. I personally really like the longer barrel, I can shoot it really well offhand and it adds a bit in velocity. It is slightly barrel heavy but the wood stock helps offset that a little.

I just want to re-barrel and then go kill coyotes with it.
Not wanting to spend a serious amount of money on the project. So whatever stock comes with the rifle, that'll be the one I'll use.
Have a more expensive project waiting in the wings.

I think you will like it, makes a perfect carry rifle for calling. The synthetic ones aren't bad at all.

The synthetic would be the one I want. Just got to find a 6mm Rem in a synthetic stock.
