"Washington, D.C. – Select Committee on Benghazi Chairman Trey Gowdy (SC-04) released the following statement after the committee’s Majority released a mark of its investigative report:

“Chris Stevens, Sean Smith, Glen Doherty and Tyrone Woods were heroes who gave their lives in service to our country. Their bravery and the courageous actions of so many others on the ground that night should be honored.

“When the Select Committee was formed, I promised to conduct this investigation in a manner worthy of the American people’s respect, and worthy of the memory of those who died. That is exactly what my colleagues and I have done.

“Now, I simply ask the American people to read this report for themselves, look at the evidence we have collected, and reach their own conclusions. You can read this report in less time than our fellow citizens were taking fire and fighting for their lives on the rooftops and in the streets of Benghazi.”

The committee’s proposed report is just over 800 pages long and is comprised of five primary sections and 12 appendices. It details relevant events in 2011 and 2012.

Judgment day! Obama, Clinton lied about Benghazi
Critics of President Barack Obama’s administration and the response of-then Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to the 2012 Benghazi terror attacks have long awaited the results of the House Benghazi Committee’s investigation.

And it looks like today is judgment day.

Republicans on the House Benghazi Committee faulted the Obama administration today in a report on the deadly 2012 attacks in Benghazi, Libya — and said the president’s administration lied when they deflected blame from Islamic terrorists.

“The claim that the fatal 2012 Benghazi terrorist attacks were sparked by an anti-Muslim video was crafted in Washington by Obama administration appointees and reflected neither eyewitness nor real-time reports from the Americans under siege,” Fox News reported.

According to CNN, the newly released report “paints a picture of a perfect storm of bureaucratic inertia, rapidly worsening security in Libya and inadequate resources in the months that led up to the killings of Ambassador Chris Stevens and three colleagues on September 11, 2012.”

Among the new revelations is that Stevens — along with the other three Americans killed in the terror attack — were in Benghazi with the aim of establishing a permanent diplomatic post, to replace the temporary one that had previously come under fire, The Hill’s Julian Hattem reported.

“Military forces also appeared to have gotten lost or misinterpreted on their way down the chain, the report claims. And the Libyan forces that eventually evacuated the surviving Americans from the CIA annex were in fact former loyalists of deposed strongman Moammar Gaddafi, and not militia groups with a previous relationship with the U.S.,” Hattem wrote Tuesday.

The panel’s chairman, Rep. Trey Gowdy of South Carolina, and other Republicans accuse the Obama administration of stonewalling important documents and witnesses. Democrats say the panel’s primary goal is to undermine Hillary Clinton’s presidential bid.

The Libya attacks became immediate political fodder, given their timing in the weeks before President Barack Obama’s re-election, and that has not abated despite seven previous congressional investigations. There has been finger-pointing on both sides over security at the U.S. diplomatic outpost in Benghazi and whether the White House initially tried to portray the assault as a protest over an offensive, anti-Muslim video, instead of a calculated terrorist attack.

Democrats admitted in their own report Monday that the State Department’s security measures in Benghazi the night of Sept. 11, 2012 were “woefully inadequate,” but insisted Clinton never personally turned down a request for additional security.

Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, who helped write the Republican report, told CNN that “too little effort was made to protect” Stevens and the others. “We didn’t move Heaven and Earth to get help to the people who were fighting for their lives,” he said.

Benghazi Report: State Dept Withheld Requested Weapons Because They Were Not “Aesthetically Pleasing”

House Republicans released their final report on the Benghazi terrorist attacks Tuesday morning. The report concludes what we already knew. that Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton DID NOTHING to save US lives in Benghazi on September 11, 2012.

FOX News reported on Tuesday the State Department withheld the requested weapons from agents on the ground because they were not “aesthetically pleasing.”

Adam Housley: When we talk about those with reactions I spoke with including one special agent who was on the ground that night who says to me in Benghazi, quote, ” the report continues to show how ridiculous the STate Department makes it to give support to a special agent on the ground when he says he needs support. There were about 10 of us who continually asked for more weapons and more security in Benghazi and were routinely denied.” And we reported on that because the State Department told him it wasn’t aesthetically pleasing to have a belt-fed machine gun, for example.

We are governed by sick, evil people.

That, sir, is the understatement of the day. And ... just imagine how things will be if Hitlary becomes President and we have to contend with her and all of her Democrap minions who will control every government agency ... plus the fact that The Wicked Witch of The East will be allowed to hand-pick the next 2 or 3 Supreme Court Justices.

And we don't even know why they lied and refused assistance. Therein, likely, lie far greater crimes. Not that what's on the surface is not worthy of impeachment and invalidates further service, but the heart of the matter may well demand the lives of these traitors.

They can lie to the victims' families right to their faces; they can lie and lie to the American people; they can be directly or indirectly complicit in the senseless murders, (for any number of reasons), and absolutely NOTHING happens or will happen as a result. The Regime will get its "cover" from the MSM and, more or less, just keep on 'chucking-along' almost as if this tragedy never occurred.
