I want one. It'd be the perfect trail gun.

Trail Gun? It is in the East. 180 gr. Hollow point.
In the west with the big bears, maybe 200gr or 220gr Hardcast.
Gun Shows are almost as comical as boat ramps in the Spring.

I picked up some Federal Premium 180 gr Trophy Bonded SP for my woods carry load. I may pick up some 200 gr hardcast loads to try out also. There's a couple of bears hanging around the camp and one is a good sized bear.
I got some range time with the Colt today.
I used the 2 factory mags, plus the 3 Metalform mags that I had ordered.
I started with some 10mm subsonic Winchester 180 gr HP loads. Next were Remington UMC 10mm 180 gr FMJ loads, followed by Georgia Arms 155 gr Gold Dot HP loads rated @1375 FPS and Georgia Arms 180 gr Gold Dot HP loads rated @1150 FPS. Total rounds fired was 100.
There were zero FTF/FTE. The gun ran flawlessly and shoots to point of aim. Recoil is no problem at all. While there is more recoil than a 45ACP, it is not that bad. All in all, I am extremely satisfied with the performance of the Colt.

That is a good range of bullet weights and velocities for testing. No hiccups.
Not surprising.
You will enjoy the ownership for a long time.

MIV,
I congratulate you on a becoming on a non-loser in the 10mm department.
To go any route other than the Delta is idiotic.

GFY, Travis I just wish that I would have picked one up much sooner. And it's a Colt.

Congrats Whitworth!
You're officially a decent handgunner.

Picked mine up day before yesterday. Will try to take it to the range today at some point. Nice that they gave them the XSE upgrades & Novaks. I can't recall a Delta jamming - ever. You have to be careful with max loads, versus a ramped barrel, but 1350 fps with 155's is easy, and not trivial.

If your 180's are clocking 1,400fps, wear gloves.

It was an example of one, but the Kimber 10mm 1911 I owned ran flawlessly.
I've never come across a delta elite that was attractively priced, I guess that's because people love them...

At what range do you find it shoots to the sights?

Bumping this thread just to see if anybody has any updates on the new model Deltas. Anything to dislike about them? I'm considering a new 10mm (for no particular purpose--just fun). I'm considering the Delta. (Any thoughts on the Kimber TLE, Remington long slide, or the Sig 220?)

The Delta should be reliable, a good value. The Kimber 10mm may need tuning to run reliably, but is a decent pistol, and has a ramped barrel. Also the only Kimber pistol I still own. A little more money, the Dan Wesson Silverback is awfully nice, and probably the next 10mm I'll own. The creme de la creme is probably a Nighthawk or Wilson, but you will pay twice as much as a DW.
