Chicken/rice/bean burrito and a bottle of MGD......glass of Stout and a pipe on the deck for desert....
Same thing tonight.....I made a big batch of burritos the other day.....they're delicious but after four days of em I'm ready for something different......watching the river go by with a glass of Stout/Burbon and a pipe never gets old though....

Steamed walleye & Thai style, sweet chilli noodles. That looks great. Going to have to try that, have a pile of walleye from the past couple weeks. Thanks for the idea!

Yep, good problem to have.
That's why we've been trying different options. Walleye 5 nights a week !

Grilled venison backstrap with herbed butter, buttermilk/tarragon tater salad, fresh field peas. Was going to try the reverse sear but chickened out. Turned out alright.

Short ribs over rice with a wedge salad.
Shortribs got an all day soak in a bit of soy, dab of mustard, ginger, garlic, red pepper, seasame oil, lemon juice, a couple chopped plums, etc...
Browned and then cooked in the pressure pot with the marinade for 45 minutes.
Fired up the grill and put the ribs over coal. Brushed with reduced pot liquor for a bit of glaze,
Served over rice with the reduction and an iceberg wedge with blue and bacon.
Didn't suck..........even a little.

Oysters on the BBQ, baby back ribs, corn on the cob and ceased salad.
I didn't have all day to fugg around with the ribs. They got rubbed, wrapped, and par cooked in the oven. Sauced and a little char on the grill to finish.
Oysters came out of the water and landed on the grill. Ate 'em out of the shell with a bit of cocktail sauce as an appetizer.
I've done corn on the grill for years, but anymore prefer to schuck it and steam on the stove.

It was a can of Vienna sausages while I wrote up my notes at the end of a range session, and now it's a late snack of a leftover hamburger patty.
Haute cuisine baby! Sounds like a PBR meal, at best.
