I saw two very big things, but I don't think they were towers.
I prefer classic. Semper Fi I used to run with the hare. Now I'm envious of the tortoise and I do my own stunts but rarely intentionally

For a joke that wasn't that funny to begin with this 270 thing just keeps popping up. Talk about a dead horse. Yeh, they're queers everywhere.

Kidding aside, ain't that your big-bore, now? Yes. It is. I'm not over-compensating. Braggart.

You can redeem yourself if you load it down to appropriate levels, maybe.
Rat's, now I'm 6.8 curious too...

The 6.8 definitely kills stuff if you point it right. I've done it, several times, on animals from a coyote to a good-sized feral boar.
But the recoil can be a problem for some people. Judging from Ingwe's cartridge choices over the past several years, he might be one...:-)

If I put a Sims pad on it and wear a Past recoil shield...I oughta be OK....

Real .270 shooters "turn her on",not the .270 wannabes. I'm sure they do. 'She's' a tranny. Real men can spot these things.... She's a tranny like I'm Nelson Mandela! Thanks, elkhunternm, once again.

The only bullet I've used in the 6.8 is the 95 TTSX, because I was hunting with Bill Wilson (Wilson Combat) on his Texas ranch, using a couple of Wilson AR-15's and his handloads. As noted, they worked great.
But while Bill prefers the TTSX for pigs (which are his main focus, and the main reason he bought the ranch!), he prefers 110 AccuBonds for deer--which his wife really likes to hunt. The ranch is in NE Texas, not very far from Oklahoma, so the deer can be quite a bit bigger than in South Texas. He says the 110 AB's put a big buck down quicker than the TTSX's--and Bill's one of those who doesn't like looking around for dead animals in Texas thickets, especially at night!
I might have some extra 110 AB's if you want to play with some....

I've got a 27 Whelen that I am thinking about trying the 95 grain TTSX's in. I have never had a chance to work with the 110 grain Accubond, but I have shot a few things with the 110 grain TTSX out of the 270 WSM. It works pretty good.
