That is gorgeous.
I completely agree with your outlook of getting two primary hunting rifles, and getting them set up exactly how you want them.
This makes far more sense than having a dozen, kind of, sort of right rifles.
Plus the .308 and .300 WM are definitely great pics for a perfect 2 rifle battery for about every type of medium to big game a guy is going to hunt on this continent.

I made a bad hit on an oryx because of not being familiar with my rifle and had an epiphany: too many rifles I shoot once and don't use and too few rifles I get to know well.
Words of wisdom. I agree Bob. Proficiency is the key...
I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

Let us know how it shoots! I am still playing with load workup, but so far it shoots really well. It put five 155 Scenars into about 1/2" Saturday. More impressively, I shot three shots into 4" on a 300 yard gong off safari shooting sticks, which is a testament to how well it balances.
