I load 180 NAB IMR4350 for one and 190 Bergers H4831sc for the other. I have my elk hunt in a week but will probably grab the 308 Kimber. But the 180 NAB has dropped 1- antelope at 610- yards. I can't imagine results would be much different on elk.

I took a pic with phone then I go to add file manager and it says it exceeds the dimensions. I give up on trying to post pics on this forum. Send me a private message with your number and I'll txt the pic.

This forum has the tightest limit on uploaded pics/files I've encountered. You can save them at a lower resolution and/or crop them, but often times, it makes the pics too grainy or too small to be worth bothering with. Basically, instead of uploading the file to the campfire, you would instead upload them to a free photo web host site like photobucket and then use "insert image" and copy/paste the link to your photo from your hosted web account.

I've taken deer and elk with both bullets. Had some iffy results when the Accubond when they were semi-new and turned away from them for a while. Over the past several years though, I've hunted vicariously through people I load for, and have seen many examples of each. Today, all else being equal and assuming I wasn't trying to go lead-free for some reason, I would go Accubond. Don't get me wrong. The TSX is reliable and will always drop a lung-shot critter within 50 yards. But, many times that critter will go 50 yards, and the blood trail will not always be huge. Not really an issue though. The Accubond seems to drop them quicker, if not right on the spot. My 2 cents.

Of the two, 180g AccuBond is the easy choice for me as I refuse to use TSX for any game.

If you switch to TTSX instead, it's a toss-up. I've taken elk with a 180g MRX (TTSX predecessor) and have driven it and 165g TTSX lengthwise though mule deer. Can't tell you how they expanded based on shooting game because I have never recovered one, but water jug testing shows expansion in a single jug and internal organs have been impressively destroyed.

So, those of you steering away from the tsx, are you doing so because of unreliable expansion, or other reasons? I'll get a pic of the rifle up later today.

Oh, and believe it or not, deer bite. Fairly hard.

As well as they have performed on game, I would opt for a 155 grain Scenar.

I would go with the Barnes. My dad used to use 165 accubonds in his 300 mag on deer. We called those bullets the destroyer. They did most of the butchering for you

Love my 300WSM Kimber Montana. No Elk, but I have taken Moose and deer with the 180TSX. It works for this old guy. I do feel a bit over gunned on whitetail but it sure puts a hole through them. Moose too. I have found none of them under the hide of the far side. They pass right on through. I expect they would do similarly with Elk. YMMV

I've killed 2 elk with 180 ab's and one with the 200 ab. My friend I hunt with has killed at least 6 elk with the 180 ab from a 300 wsm. Performance has always been good except for one time I watched him hit an elk at about 250 yards. It looked like a good broadside should shot and it dropped and rolled several times down the hill. It then got up and walked up the hill and went at least two more miles. We never found it so we don't know what happened. I told him to hit it again as it walked away but he didn't want to ruin a bunch of meat with a ths. I would have taken the shot but I believe that once an elks wounded you take any shot you can get until it's down for good.

Don't be afraid to try the 200 ab in the 300 wsm either. They shoot great even seated deep and work really well. My 300 wsm runs them almost 2900 fps. I've been running the 215 g Berger hybrid at 2800 lately but I used to run the 200 ab a lot.
