All:

Had a fantastic time hunting with another forum member here. We spent a few days hunting in Texas. What a spectacular time we had.

Ruger 44 Mag with 9.5 inch barrel. Ported by Magnaport.
Ultradot 30mm
Hornady 240 gr

One shot. 60 yards. Solid placement. 30 yard run. Complete pass thru..

I am liking this style of hunting!

Nice 8 point. Very happy!

My last deer before moving from Texas was a small 6 point using a scoped .44 Magnum Redhawk...

Great job !

I've taken a few deer with a handgun but the very first one (with a scoped 10" Contender barrel in 7mmTCU) was the most memorable.

Congrats !

Congrats on the fine deer. They're special when taken with a handgun, kinda like how hunting! I was planning to get back into it this year, but it didn't work out. Maybe next! memtb

Nice deer RAS. I have a S&W 629 no dash that I purchased on here from Jahrs, that I am going to scope, and plan on my first handgun hunt. Looks like a lot of fun. Congratulations.

Thank you all.

I took my time in learning how to shoot this firearm. I learned pretty quick that if you want to be accurate, it takes some time to learn how to use it effectively and with confidence.

Starting off, I sucked at shooting it. Now, I feel confident out to 100. Maybe others are better, but that is where I am at right now.

Two thumbs up!!! Mine and High Brass'! wink
I was with Chad when he got his handgun kill. He was an avid bow hunter and thought getting one with a handgun was a bigger rush!

Great job Jeff. Glad to hear the SRH worked for you. I haven't had a chance to get mine sighted in yet and have a doctor's appointment on first or second day of the opening season. I may not get to go with the way things have been going for me. Congrats again!

Good show, RAS. You are also now officially addicted to hunting with a handgun. Expect no relief for forty years, if my case is any indication.
