the factory battery in my 2007 polaris is still going strong.total waste of money to change out a new battery to something else.all atv manufactors say you should charge your atv battery no matter how much you use it.charging systems are just not that good on atv's. Keep the battery. Change out the Polaris. no way,we all got tired of honda motor and trans problems and bought polaris.

My 2005 Honda battery died last month. Replaced it with factory standard (yuasa?) picked up at local napa store. The old one lasted 11 years, never taken out of ATV, so why not? Put in a new voltage regulator at the same time.
The only true cost of having a dog is its death.

I got ten years out of tbe original Yuasa in my Suzuki Vinson 500. It is a hard starting bitch in the cold, and takes a lot of cranking.
I use the bike to feed the cows and start it almosr every day during the winter. So I was very impressed with the battery life. You know I replaced it with another Yuasa.
People who choose to brew up their own storms bitch loudest about the rain.
