Cookie's been camping out for the last three weeks mostly chasing mule deer and anything else that will stand for her cameras. A couple thousand images, so thank God we are past the film days. Still another great reason to be out there. Things were a bit tougher for her this season, but there are a few left for next year. I have hunted mule deer for over 50 years and Cookie's bucks are always trophy class to me. Now, I would rather take pictures of them and I use Cookie's high quality pics. as goal to aim for with my own pictures. ---- I am not there yet. Keep'em coming, Ken

Troops: Thanks for the comments and do feel free to offer up constructive/critical suggestions. kennymauser: Dedication, patience, and volume are the secrets. For Cookie, it was a solid 3 weeks of being out there from dawn to dusk. We bumped into some serious professionals this season, and they really cover a lot of ground and lean on the shutter a lot. One reported he had 5000+ images to go through. At that rate, one is sure to come up with a real jewel now and then. For me, it's another reason to be out there, and once in a while I get to handle a camera. Finally: Found a near face-on view of that last 4x5. Would be a bit more impressive with a slightly wider angle to the antlers. I think that is the same animal that came through and whipped up on the local boss last fall. Here's a capture from 2015 after the shoving match ended in a creek.
