The California house was more than $4M. They are renting a $4M house in DC. And they purchased a house in HI. When I did my anniversary cruise in HI 14 years ago, property on Kauai "way up the mountain" from town was still more than $600K per acre for the bare rock... All I can figure is that he must have done a good job of pinching pennies while he was a "community organizer" in Chicago... <sarcasm off>
