Results: Colt 1911 (.45)

While I have carried one extensively in the past, it's not my current choice, which is a Glock 17.

funny, glock 21 in 45.
But lately with multiple perps and such my thoughts have been changing.

Always carried a kimber 3 inch in 45.

My wife just bought a 10mm Glock 20 sf.

I LIKE that gun plus the fact it has more power than a 45 and 16 ready to go... I'm thinking hard of converting.

And I just don't feel that comfortable with the 1911, and 7 or 8 rounds anymore.

But if I had to pick one for just love of shooting, 1911 all day long.

I'm also much more open to 9mm stuff since the advent of better bullets....

If I wanted a 357 wheel gun for something, Smith....

Another Glock 21 work horse. Keep a baby Glock in the car. But, prefer a 1911 for my .45...

Just re-took the test and changed all my answers - now it's m&p shield 9mm. Guess my new shield 45 will have to do whistle

Yeah, I have one of those. Paid $150 for it used in about '85, I think. Haven't fired it in 10 years or so, tho I sometimes carry it in a shoulder holster while backpacking. It's my camper gun also. Solids former, hollow points latter, respectively.

"and I just don't feel that comfortable with the 1911, and 7 or 8 rounds anymore."

That reminds me of a former coworker:

She was about 5'5", 130 lbs and ran 5 miles every day to keep her remaining lung in good shape. One morning she was rushed by a new neighbor's 5 dogs, and unusual for her, she wasn't carrying her .38 revolver. The azzhole neighbor came rushing out into the power line right of way where she was facing down the dogs with a stick and tried to intimidate her by getting within inches. He failed, even to forcing her to look up into his face (he was well over 6' and probably 250 or so, according to Nancy).

The next day she belted on her .38, and loaded the 6th chamber before setting out.

Later, at work, she told me all this and I kidded her " Were you planning on missing once?"

She looked me right in the eye and said " I don't miss."

Oh..... smile

Glock 21.

I need to reevaluate my life choices. Nothing against others owning Glocks, of course.
