Been using the freezer bags like that for years now, they work great. All my venison is packaged in those bags no matter what the cut, I lay in a supply of quart and gallon sizes before the start of the season. Used to wrap in saran wrap and butcher paper then tried a vacum seal machine, prefer this way by far compared to the others it is more economical too.

I cut, grind, wrap all deer the same.
We buy commercial roll of clear wrap from Costco. Tightly roll all cuts in a double layer of this wrap and then pack multiple packages in either a quart or gallon zip close freezer bag.Keeps quite well that way.

I do the first part the same, but then I vacuum seal. In fact I put several of the twist tie bags in one large vacuum seal bag, and then reseal when I remove one. miles
Look out for number 1, don't step in number 2.
