Love that turkey pic, tell us about that double. Thanks. It is a Sterling Fox 12 gauge that belonged to my Grandad. I take it every year or two and hunt it. Love the handling and try to enjoy it instead of making it a safe queen. Here's another Osceola I took with it.

This was several years back. It's a 700 VLS in .223. I don't have that rifle anymore but I have the same model in another in the .308 flavor that I like a lot.

Tikka 30/06, 168 ttsx, monarch 2.5-10. Now Don't get jealous of the big rack.
All of them do something better than the 30-06, but none of them do everything as well.

Brad, he had a slight case of crabclaws but I ain't that damn choosy! OMG... one of the finest photos I've ever seen on the campfire... couldn't be more serious. If that's not framed and hanging on your wall 'm going to drive up to Wolf Point and kick your azz.... ok, maybe with the help of four or five Indians

Here's one I particularly like. Ruger Hawkeye .308 Win, lefty style. Belongs to Daughter #1 who used it to take her antelope at 360+ yards last October. Here's another, a Ruger MKII .223 I picked up in 2014 off the used rack at Cabelas. Already had a Burris FF-II Ballistic Plex scope in the rings, same scope I use on most of my rifles. Shoots half-inch groups with handloaded 40g V-MAX and BTs. Not legal for big game in Colorado but a great companion for my heavy barrel .22-250.
Coyote Hunter - NRA Patriot Life, NRA Whittington Center Life, GOA, DAD - and I VOTE!
No, I'm not a Ruger bigot - just an unabashed fan of their revolvers, M77's and #1's.
A good .30-06 is a 99% solution.

A tremendous photo worthy of a tremendous buck, shot with the "right" cartridge... doesn't get better.
