crossfireops would be familar with this place.

Oddly enough, the patriot guard years later was using this place as a base for watching the border with mexico.

I remember the event. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miracle_Valley_shootout
I have been there any number of time in miracle valley and in the buildings, interesting place.

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -
From fiscal year 2016 to fiscal year 2017, U.S. Customs and Border Protection has seen a drastic increase in attacks on Border Patrol Agents.

It’s something the local Border Patrol Agent Union president has known and is concerned about.

In 2016 there were 45 assault on agents, in 2017 149 so far.

President of the Union 2544 Art Del Cueto says, he make sure the nearly 3,000 agents in the union know about any time an agent is attacked.

The most recent attack occurred in Cochise County on Friday, Dec. 30. According to the Cochise County Sheriff’s Office, someone shot at a Border Patrol van.

“You don’t know if it is a targeted or planned attack against agents,” said Cueto.

Empty Border Patrol vehicle hit by gunfire near Sierra Vista

An empty Border Patrol vehicle was struck by gunfire Friday evening south of Sierra Vista, authorities said.

A nearby agent was not injured and did not return fire, said U.S. Customs and Border Protection in a news release.

Around 5:30 p.m., an agent in a mobile surveillance unit—a truck equipped with cameras and sensors—heard several shots and "observed two unknown individuals with a rifle at a distance," said a CBP spokesman.

An unoccupied BP vehicle next to the surveillance truck was hit by bullets, including one round that punched through a passenger-side window.

Multiple Border Patrol agents and deputies with the Cochise County Sheriff's Office responded to the incident, the spokesman said, but the suspects were fled on foot and have not been located, he said.

CBP said that the investigation remains active and anyone with information regarding the shooting should contact the Sheriff’s Office at 520-432-9500.

Bet the AZ Air National Guard would be glad to respond. Really looking forward to seeing how the Trump adm responds to such as this.
